Tochichi carved from carefully selected wood. Tochi is said to be a silk spider and has a beautiful fine grain. A diffuser with unclear annual rings. The fine grain has a silk-like luster when polished, and the shrinkage is crimped grain.
Useful material that is low in durability but excellent in workability and capable of producing large-diameter wood. The ones that appear crisp, waved, mottled, etc. are treated as precious trees.
